Maris Racal (birthname Mariestella Cañedo Racal born on September 22, 1997 in Tagum, Davao City, Philippines) is a Filipina singer and actress. She is the 10th Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) All In housemate introduced on Sunday, April 27. She was dubbed as “Singing Sunshine ng Davao,” because she grew up to be music lover. In August 24, 2014, Racal was named 2nd Big Placer in the reality show Pinoy Big Brother: All In

She is a daughter of Henry Racal, a folk singer in Davao and hopes to show more of her skills inside the country’s most popular house, the PBB house. She is one of the teen housemates in this year’s edition of Pinoy Big Brother that showcased various housemates from celebrities, regular and teen housemates under one roof competing for the ultimate title as PBB Big Winner. The “Singing Sunshine of Davao” grew up in a musically inclined close-knit family with her parents both known not only in the city of Davao but also in nearby cities and provinces as singers. Her parents are both Cebuanos but they chose to live in Tagum City, Davao. Although she grew up with music-lover families, she learned how to play the guitar on her own by watching videos online. She also learned to play the piano, ukelele and beatbox on her own by watching various videos online. Aside from being a musician and singer, she also excels in acting, dance sports and painting. Maris Racal is really passionate about music, at the age of 16, her favorite genre is classical music which is quite rare at her age. During previous interviews with PBB, she admitted that she is still in love with her ex-boyfriend whom she had to break up because her parents found out about their secret relationship. Would that feelings for her EX still be the same after she'll go out from the Famous House of Big Brother? Or will she find some one who will heal her broken heart?
